Whoever owns a residence or building and has a burglar alarm shall not have more than two false/trouble alarms per calendar year. False/trouble alarms caused by thunderstorms, hurricanes, certain power outages, and other valid situations, as determined by the Police Chief, shall be exempt from this bylaw.
Whoever violates this bylaw shall be punished by a fine of $25 for the first offense, $50 for the second through fifth offenses, and $100 for the sixth and subsequent offenses.
Municipally owned buildings shall be exempt from this bylaw.
