2026 Lamberts Cove Beach Passes

To qualify for a resident pass, you must live in West Tisbury year-round, you must be on the voter list, and have both cars registered in West Tisbury. You must bring a copy of both registrations to the sticker shed at the time of purchase.
Stickers and passes for Lambert’s Cove Beach will be sold at the Parks and Recreation shed by the West Tisbury School tennis courts, from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. daily, as well as 4-7 pm on Fri. and Sat. beginning June 13. Proof of residence or a signed lease for rental of a property in town is required at the time of purchase. A lease must show the rental dates, the owner's name, the renter’s name, and the property's physical address. You must have a valid sticker to park in the lot or on the street, 7 am-5 pm beginning June 15.
Car Sticker: Sold to residents or renters, allows parking for one vehicle, on a space-available basis, and beach access for occupants of the car. Stickers must adhere to the car window on the driver’s side of the vehicle at the time of purchase. Please have the vehicle's license number available when purchasing your sticker. Any tampering with or alteration of the sticker may result in the revocation of beach privileges. Only one sticker per property will be issued at any given time.
The Town of West Tisbury will not issue any permits - including beach permits - to anyone who owes delinquent taxes to the town. If you have any questions about whether you owe taxes, please call the Tax Collector at (508) 696-0104 or email her at taxcollector@westtisbury-ma.gov.
Walk-on Passes: Sold to residents or renters, allowing beach use but not parking in the Lambert’s Cove parking area. Passes are valid for a family of five. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Mopeds & motorcycles may use a Walk-on Pass but must park outside of the lot. Bicycle parking is available. M.V. Transit Authority will provide bus service to Uncle Seth’s Pond and Lambert's Cove Beach. Please see the shuttle bus schedule for times, fares, and further route information.
Commercial Inn Passes: Inns or Bed and Breakfast Houses in West Tisbury may purchase passes at the commercial rate based on the number of rooms in the establishment. New Inns and Bed-and-Breakfast Houses must apply to the Parks & Recreation Committee for commercial status. It is not for homeowners who have guest houses or rental properties. In these cases, each renter must purchase their own pass. Commercial passes do not apply to Airbnb, VRBO, and the like. This pass is not for general businesses in West Tisbury. It is only for lodging establishments registered with the Park and Recreation Department.
Beach stickers and passes are NONTRANSFERABLE from homeowners to renters or between renters; each rental party must purchase their own sticker/pass, which will be valid for the term of their lease. Only one sticker per property will be issued at any given time. Stickers for the Trustees’ beach at Long Point Wildlife Refuge will be sold by the Trustees at the Long Point gatehouse. Replacement stickers are available to purchasers as needed due to vehicle sales. The old sticker must be returned to the sticker seller, and a new sticker will be issued at no charge.
