The VTA provides year-round public transit and paratransit services to all six of the Island's Towns, as well as a reservation dial-a-ride system for weekly trips to Boston medical facilities.

The VTA is launching a Microtransit pilot on low ridership and density routes for the winter. Please see the FAQ linked below.
Their website will continue to be updated with more details as they work through this new service model. During the challenging times of the pandemic, the VTA has been closely monitoring travel demand on all its routes. They're hopeful, this will provide consistency for the traveling public. The VTA will be operating a fixed route bus schedule similar to the Off-Season Fall season throughout the Winter season.
